I chose this quote because education is the foundation on
which everything else is built. Early
childhood education is vital to the overall growth and development of each
child’s love for learning. Once a love
for learning has been instilled in a child, the sky is the limit!
The Global Perspectives on Development and Learning class
has taught me that there are numerous connections in regards to education all
around the world. We need to work
together to enhance the lives of children around the world. We must start in our own community and expand
our thinking to develop our global society.
The recent developments in brain research has positively
impacted the field of early childhood education. These developments have improved the research
surrounding the early development of young learners, which allows for new and
innovative techniques when working with all age groups. We are now able to understand the many
influences that surround the growth of early childhood learners to better assistant
children during these vital stages.
Blogs:
There are many educational blogs that help support the
teacher as an educator, in the classroom, and in various other aspects of the
field. As a teacher, I have rarely looked
into this particular resource to enhance my educational background. After working through this course, I have
discovered the benefits of reading these blogs and the pride that follows
creating one of your own. We are essentially
a team that should share ideas and experiences to benefit one another in a
positive way. I plan to continue to
explore these blogs to develop my educational knowledge base and to make
connections that will benefit not only me but my students. I have provided the link of a blog that I
enjoyed reading while attending this current class.
